Outlook 2016 does not synchronize IMAP folders

Within the Outlook 2016 has appeared a problem for IMAP users, because apparently email folders are not synchronized. This is a change, it is not happens in previous versions as Outlook 2010 and 2013, or other email clients as Thunderbird. It is straightforward to correct, but we have to know what to set up.

To solve this problem we must review the account settings.

To do this, go to the menu option "File" and access the "Account Settings"

A list of configured accounts will appear. Then, choose those we want to change.

This will bring the usual window setup email accounts, then choose "More Settings"

In the section on "More Settings", go to the 'Advanced' tab.

We will see a box that says "Root folder path." We write in the box the word "Inbox"

We click on "OK" button and the problem will be fixed.
